Position: E-Commerce Manager

Reports to: Commercial Director

Overall Objective

As the eCommerce Manager, you will manage day to day site operations, as well as management of key vendors, AB testing, and other key projects. Sitting at the center of our fast-growing ecommerce business, you will partner with Marketing, Customer Service, and Global Digital to drive our shared vision of putting the consumer first and delivering a seamless digital experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Use customer insights, competitive research, and web analytics to identify and prioritize strategic opportunities for improvement in both ecommerce experiences and functional capabilities
  • Maximize web store performance (i.e., conversion rate, average order value, units per transaction), with particular focus on making continuous improvements in: online customer experience, site shopability, site search, search engine optimization and product optimization
  • Take active lead in weekly ecommerce business reviews across analytics, merchandising, email, affiliates and paid search to ensure all areas are aligned.
  • Assist in developing the annual budget, forecast, contribution and profit – projection. Ensure growth targets, including full price sell-through are met.
  • Remain up-to-date on current and emerging technologies and trends and how they can effectively drive business, including competitive analysis.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the UAT process for all new site enhancements
  • Work as an effective, collaborative partner across the Canadian DTC channel to ensure consumer satisfaction and consumer centricity model and way of working in order to optimize channel effectiveness and consumer brand experience.
  • Integrate merchandising, content, new feature enablement and digital marketing programs that achieve premium brand positioning and high-growth.
  • Assist in developing channel strategy, including mobile and new feature enablement and enhancements to remain innovative and on-target toward goals. Working closely with global teams.
  • Partner with cross functional teams such as retail, Product, and Customer Service to drive business and execute new business strategies.
  • Produce and analyze reports to track online sales results, including the analysis of sales statistics, online traffic studies, click-thru data, etc.
  • Assist in the ongoing enablement of rich services toward consumer: delivery, return, loyalty and other, with a keen focus on also preserving profit.
  • Work closely with Customer Service and Distribution teams to ensure timely and complete order fulfillment and RA processing for all orders – ensuring a strong value proposition toward the consumer.
  • Responsible for managing the site merchandiser and web designer to ensure alignment and execution of product and marketing programs (i.e. product launches, email campaigns, etc.)
  • Effectively manage and develop subordinate staff, providing for coaching and professional development opportunities as appropriate.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and make a valuable contribution towards maintaining ECCO's culture of passion, innovation and sustainability.

Minimum Qualifications – Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (Master’s Degree preferred).
  • Experience with a premium consumer brand – brands including retail and/or footwear industry a plus.
  • 3+ years e-Commerce experience.

Minimum Qualifications – Skills & Abilities

  • Experience in CRM, segmentation, and analytics, web merchandising, affiliate partnerships, SEO and SEM.
  • Solid knowledge of e-Commerce marketing and business principles with proven success in the development and implementation of online marketing strategies.
  • Proven experience with e-Commerce new feature enablement, innovation and mobile programs.
  • Proven ability to lead and influence both projects and people.
  • Commerce Cloud experience is a plus.
  • Strong expertise in computer programs, including MS Office.
