The role of the System Administrator is to provide direct Tier-3 technical support for Production operation of CHC’s IT infrastructure, as well as assist in the implementation of major projects and initiatives. This position will report directly to the Manager of Infrastructure and Security
Production systems administration for major CHC systems: AMOS, SharePoint, Exchange, as well as relevant storage, network, communications and other technologies.
Administration of Production Citrix servers which deliver CHC applications.
Point person for Disaster Recovery configuration, documentation and testing coordination.
Administration of the departments systems with respect to performance monitoring, space management and reorganization, patching and quality assurance.
Implement technical solutions, troubleshooting and optimization within areas of responsibility.
Assists in administration of Virtual Infrastructure: performance monitoring, VM lifecycles, creation and maintenance of VM templates, VM and ESX server host patching.
Participate in development of a Standard Operating Environment (SOE), ensuring compliance with the SOE of all hardware and software changes, and accurately creating and maintaining system documentation.
Assists with world-wide CHC base startups and infrastructure installations.
Actively work with fellow team members to increase Global infrastructure team knowledge and skills
Participate in Global and Local IT projects as directed by the IT Manager
Other duties as directed by the IT Manager.
Technical experience includes:
Experience with Windows Server technologies.
Relevant experience administering Citrix systems in enterprise configuration.
Experience with Active Directory and Domain environments
Sound understanding of Microsoft System Centre (SCCM)
Linux fundamentals and familiarity with web application delivery
Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and Internet
Well rounded understanding of backup technologies.
Excellent hardware/software troubleshooting experience.

Combination of education and a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a Tier 2 or 3 capacity, supporting a large user base
Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, MIS or Network Services from a recognized public or private program and/or 3+ years of relevant experience
Experience administering a Windows environment
Exposure to a broad range of IT technologies such as Windows Active Directory, Citrix, SharePoint, Virtualization, Backup Applications & Cisco Routers/Switches
Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential
Some international travel may be required
Work coverage will include CHC global business operations.
Work may require rotational after-hours support, occasional weekend and/or evening work.
