Summary:

Under the direction of the Executive Director or designated supervisor the receptionist/general office clerk is responsible for a variety of reception duties. Maintaining various records and phone calls.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Uphold the mandate, policies and procedures, confidentiality and code of ethics of Olive's Branch
  • Greet and welcome all tenants, guests and maintenance people
  • Answer phones and/or in person inquiries and routes to appropriate staff members as required. Responds to routine queries with regard to the organization and services provided
  • Receive all incoming mail and direct accordingly
  • Assist tenants, guests and all maintenance people to sign in and out of the building
  • Maintain records, incident reports, communication book and meeting room bookings
  • Receive all supply orders and put away in a timely manner
  • Maintain general cleanliness of front desk and lobby
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Valid level 1 first aid
  • Minimum grade 12
  • Experience in human services or customer services
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to organize and multi task
  • Strong ability to problem solve, work independently and in a team setting
