We have a fantastic new opportunity for a Bilingual Business Development Coordinator to join our team in Québec! In this home based role, you will be supporting the growth of Groupe Veterinaire Daubigny, our affiliate in Quebec. Working remotely, the Bilingual Business Development Coordinator will be reporting directly to the Business Development Director in Quebec and to the Assistant Manager, Business Development in Toronto. You will provide support to the business development team in order to coordinate internal and external communications in support of VetStrategy’s rapid growth. You will also be actively involved in supporting the Assistant Manager and Business/Lead generation processes, as well as preparing proposals for new business opportunities.

Key Job Responsibilities

Business Development Coordination

  • Following up on, updating, and implementing the business plans set by the Business Development Director in Quebec.
  • Assisting and monitoring the overall business KPIs, making sure every aspect is on track in order for the team to deliver to committed goals
  • Work directly with various internal & external stakeholders to ensure a timely and accurate flow of all relevant information. Be the champion in bridging communications between the various teams
  • Support the Assistant Manager, Business Development with special projects and reports
  • Act as the key coordinator to track, follow up on, and meet project tasks and deadlines
  • Conduct market research for potential new clinics within the business development pipeline
  • Work with our Customer Relationship Management and Project Management tools, Apps and other systems to understand regional clinic opportunities and provide recommendations for appropriate targeted action
  • Owns the development and maintenance of mailing lists, including the distribution of marketing collateral generated by the Business Development Director
  • Provide the Business Development team information on pre- and post- promotion evaluations, analysis and interpretation of data, and managing day to day operation of the outreach initiatives
  • Assist in the preparation and packaging of direct mail and targeted mail pieces as well as coordinating assembly of give away items for conferences and tradeshows
  • Prepare qualifications and proposals, including mapping and demographic research, for new clinic opportunities
  • Monitoring and ensuring deal flow as per scheduled timelines and commitments

Industry Networking and Trade Show events and coordination

  • Assist in the preparation of brochures and marketing statements
  • Partner with the marketing department where needed, to gather materials requiring content development and copy writing
  • Research new networking opportunities for the Business Development team and make recommendations i.e. identify which trade shows or sponsor events to support and attend
  • Attend networking functions as appropriate
  • Prepare and attend tradeshows and special events when applicable
  • Monitor and analyze competitors’ activities. Assess implications and recommend appropriate reaction
  • Work closely with the event specialist on coordinating events
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of previous experience in sales and/or customer/business development
  • Bilingual (English & French)
  • A highly organized individual with a proven track record of managing project successfully and in a timely manner
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Post secondary Education would be an asset
  • Intermediate level PC/software skills, including Microsoft Office or Google suite
  • Knowledge of CRM database systems is an asset
  • Experience in the Vet industry would be an asset
  • Adaptable, resilient and comfortable dealing with ambiguity
  • Motivated by challenging situations
  • Able to work independently and manage workload efficiently
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and can manage competing priorities efficiently
  • Organized and has the ability to work on different projects, follow up rigorously and communicate to different levels of the organization
  • You’re comfortable being around pets
  • Available to travel occasionally to attend various events and meetings
  • Must have access to a car to be able to attend various meetings & events around the Quebec/Montreal area
