Here's how you will contribute to the program:

  • Deliver group training sessions on various computer applications and use
  • Conduct one-one-one training sessions on specific computer application functionality
  • Assess current computer skill level in learners and make recommendations for next courses
  • Review current curriculum and make recommendations for improvements and enhancements
  • Oversee volunteers and class helpers, providing guidance and support as required
  • Work with Adult Education team to build integrated programs and education plans for clients

What you need to get an interview:

  • Certificate or diploma in Adult Education
  • Two+ years of community college in a related field
  • Three+ years of related experience, including experience in facilitating Computer literacy programs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and popular social media platforms
  • Expertise in facilitation including aural and oral proficiency and participant engagement skills
  • Self-motivation and experience in managing multiple programs in a fast-paced environment
  • Resiliency and ability to adapt to challenges associated with change
  • Satisfactory Police Information Check and Child Intervention Check
  • Strong desire to support the mission and core values of The Salvation Army, as well as work in a compassionate and non-judgmental manner

Full Time – 40 hours per week (must be able to work two evenings per week)
