Under the guidance of the Process and Continuous Improvement Planner and the Completion Center & Customer Delivery Director, the student/intern will prepare for their future by applying what was learned during coursework (theory, skill development, professionalism) to the working world. The intern will be provided extensive hands-on experience in their field of study. The intern will work on important and innovative projects alongside our experienced staff and engineers.
Work with the various departments to implement product and process changes.
Promotes, engineers and helps implement efficient and reliable Lean Manufacturing processes to guarantee efficient movement and delivery of materials and increase productivity and quality in the various steps of the value chain.
Develops training material and assists in the delivery of training sessions and workshops to all levels in the organization
Continuously drives culture change and acceptance of Lean Manufacturing principles across the organization by communicating and demonstrating the values and practicality of continuous improvement
Collaborates with the various entities of the business to improve processes and evaluate and take action regarding day to day material, logistics, and build issues impacting the productions lines
Frequently follows up with appropriate stakeholders to ensure timely and effective implementation and sustainability
Supply Chain effectiveness - You will get to assist with the Completion Center & Customer Delivery operations in the development and enhancement of manufacturing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Continuous Improvement - You will have the chance to participate, lead kaizen (continuous improvement) activities, and drive results to change processes/documentation.
Process Management - As a CI Intern, you will perform operations-related data entry and create reports on key performance indicators. You will also hold presentations for regular employee communications
Attention to Detail: Monitoring adherence to standards and actively checking for accuracy of data received or generated before passing it on

Excellent computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and AutoCAD. Other computer skills an asset.
Ability to react to issues impacting the operation and deliveries to the customer with a sense of urgency, promptly assessing the issue and developing a feasible action plan and following it through to successful completion
Effective communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills

Education and Experience:
Must be currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering at an accredited school
You have excellent communication skills (French & English), and you can popularize abstract concepts;
You are familiar with the continuous improvement concepts (e.g., lean manufacturing, industrial engineering, TPS, green belt certification, DMAIC, Problem Solving methodology, etc.
