The Executive Assistant to the President and CEO is an exciting and key leadership position where strength in anticipation, ‘making things happen’ and being ‘air traffic control’ within an inspiring social enterprise are key and critical strengths. This position works closely with the President and CEO, team members of Goodwill, the public and many stakeholders to support Goodwill continuing to make such a positive and meaningful difference across Alberta. In collaboration with the President & CEO your key responsibilities will include:
Managing a variety of projects assigned by the CEO.
Remaining aware of, and update, the CEO’s schedule and meetings.
Providing administrative support to Executive meetings.
Managing day to day office activities such as filing, mail, photocopying, reception and switchboard services, meeting arrangements, and related administrative support to Corporate Office departments.
Recruiting, selecting and training candidate(s) for the corporate receptionist position as required.
Managing the performance of the receptionist(s) including delegation to the receptionist team, clerical and secretarial duties.
Designing and implementing office policies, service standards and operating procedures.
Successful candidates will:
Post-secondary degree or certificate in a related field.
Minimum of 5 years prior experience in an Executive Assistant position. Consideration will be given for talent and expertise in other areas other than previous roles as an Executive Assistant (multitasking, forecasting and creative/innovative thinking).
Previous experience supervising others and working with team members with disabilities is an asset.
Must have own transportation and a valid class 5 driver’s license.
Ability to identify and effectively summarize pertinent info and decisions arising from meetings.
Proficiency with composition and editing of a variety of documents.
Able to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
Possess a strong work ethic and the ability to prioritize tasks.
Excellent organizational and planning skills with attention to detail.
Strong attention to detail.
Good listening and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Survey Monkey.
Ability to work evenings as required and weekends as required.
