Established in 2010, Catastrophe Solutions International (“CSI”) is an automobile repair company specializing in Paintless Dent Removal (“PDR”) services for hailstorm damage, creases, and other minor dings and dents. PDR is a unique process by which minor dents are removed using highly specialized craftsmanship and a careful massage technique which preserves factory paint and panels.

CSI specializes in hailstorm damage. We have a dedicated Hail Repair Solutions division that can mobilize at a moment’s notice whenever nature strikes. Our customer base is primarily comprised of insurance companies, car manufactures, dealerships, rental companies, fleets, and body shops to repair cars throughout Canada.

At this time, CSI is looking for fifteen (15) PDR Technicians to join its Hail Repair Solutions team in Canada. This is a temporary and seasonal position that will be required on an as-needed basis during hail storm season, which runs from July to October.

Technicians are typically needed for 2 to 6 weeks following a hail storm, working approximately 54 to 66 hours per week. Exact hours will vary.

You will be based out of our office in Calgary (2220 32nd Avenue NE, Unit 6, Calgary, Alberta, T2E 6T4); however, you will be required to work at various customer locations throughout Alberta. You may also be required to travel to other provinces.

You will be responsible for repairing autobody surface damage caused by hail storms using the PDR technique. Your duties will include the following:

  • Verify accuracy of estimates prepared by CSI’s Appraisers;
  • Repairing storm related dents using hand tools, massage techniques and CSI’s proprietary PDR process;
  • Inspecting repaired vehicles upon completion to ensure repairs meet company standards and customer satisfaction;
  • Educating customers on the PDR process;
  • Completing required paperwork according to company standards;
  • Maintaining tools and inventory of supplies;
  • Communicating effectively with our appraisers, staff, customers & insurance partners; and
  • Providing training to junior and/or apprentice technicians.


We are looking for candidates who can meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Successful completion of secondary school
  • Successful completion of a PDR apprenticeship of at least two (2) years with an expert-level technician
  • Trade certification as a motor vehicle repairer or autobody repairer from Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training, or from a recognized credential-issuing authority outside Alberta
  • At least three (3) years of experience as a PDR technician for hail storm damage
  • Able to travel for extended periods of time (2-6 weeks at a time)
  • Able to work 9 to 11 hours per day in various physically demanding positions, including standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, squatting and climbing
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivated
  • Fluent in English
  • Prior experience working with CSI is an asset


Compensation based on volume of work completed (approximately $115.00 per hour)
