Job Description

The Business Development Representative role will be focussed on lead generation through outbound calling and booking demos for our Account Executives. The ideal candidate for this role will be a customer-centric, pro-active individual who is looking to join a technology company to help drive growth and innovation. Successful Business Development Representatives have the ability to grow into an Account Executive role once proven to be successful.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • You will work to build and nurture relationships with prospects and warm leads
  • You will conduct warm and cold prospecting primarily through phone and email
  • Devise and implement creative outbound strategies to help fuel growth and build the sales pipeline
  • Track and report all prospecting and sales activities in a CRM and other marketing automation tools
  • Help manage warm and cold email campaigns
  • Qualify calls for our Account Executives
  • Confirm demo bookings

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

  • You know how to make connections and earn the trust of prospects
  • You are curious and have a passion for driving a career in sales
  • Ability to deliver high call volumes in pursuit of pipeline development goals
  • Ability to think strategically in developing accounts for long-term value, not just setting meetings or qualifying a lead
  • You are able to work independently to achieve results including taking ownership of deliverables and being accountable for the results
  • You are a collaborator and understand its value in driving team success
  • Degree or Diploma in a related field preferred
  • 1 year of experience in a customer-facing role (preferably inside sales/business development) an asset
  • Experience with SaaS is a plus
