The Associate Producer will take a lead role in the development of daily editorial content for City Montreal regional programming in concert with the production management team.
DESCRIPTION: Control Room Producer during the live broadcast Development of guests and talent in various fields: news, entertainment, arts, sports, ethnic and business communities Receive, generate and produce compelling story ideas Liaise with talent and producers in development of stories Work collaboratively and well with on-air talent Planning of future shows Help organize and oversee work of reporters, anchors, writers, producers, research staff and camera crews Organize and book feeds for our production Coordinate live hits for Breakfast Television as required Coordinate coverage or technical arrangements with other Rogers departments or broadcast partners Produce shows from remote or studio location, as required, including specials Other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS : In-depth understanding of the station's regional content priorities Minimum 4 years experience working in television production, including control room and live television experience 2 years experience in a supervisory position an asset. Excellent knowledge of local, national, and international news Knowledge of newsroom software would be an asset Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and English Strong community contacts in Montreal Degree or diploma in journalism or broadcasting an asset
