Experienced 1st Cook or Jr Sous Chef North Vancouver.

Our Southern BBQ company is experiencing another BIG year in growth and currently looking to add to the team.

This role is currently within our Restaurant division.

We are a very family orientated team, The team is dynamic with many years of experience in the kitchen.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies,
  • Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces),
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff,
  • Answer, report and follow kitchen managers instructions
  • Clean up your station and take care of leftover food
  • Stock inventory appropriately
  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
  • Comply with BC, fire regulations, all food and health & safety legislation.

The right candidate:

  • Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook,
  • Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures,
  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
  • Familiar with industry‚Äôs best practices, Food safe ect
  • Knowledge of BBQing and grills (would be a plus)
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Able to work well under pressure
  • Ability to work weekends & evenings
  • Attitude is everything.

  • Culinary: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Cooking: 2 years (Preferred)
