Show Team Members provide guests and visitors from around the world with a world class entertainment experience that will last them a lifetime and this impression can only be achieved by hiring the best candidates.
The members of the Stadium Team work with the Marine Mammal Department Team Leaders and assists with the smooth running of the Marine Mammal shows and educational sessions at the Aquarium on a day-to-day basis. This position ensures that all guest expectations are met and surpassed. This position is responsible for the care and welfare of all Marinelands Marine Mammals and the proper education of our guests about marine life through demonstration and public speaking. Stadium Team Members must be able to maintain strict confidentiality and integrity for the protection and welfare of the marine mammals in Marinelands care and at the same time must be committed to providing an exceptional guest service experience.
Skills & Requirements:
Must be 18+ yrs old.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Previous experience with public speaking, drama, or performing in front of an audience is recommended.
Able to engage and interact with the general public.
Must be energetic, outgoing, enthusiastic and confident.
Strong swimming abilities, freestyle and underwater. Scuba certification is an asset but not required.
Must be a team player.
Able to take direction and follow instructions.
Knowledge of Health & Safety Practices.
Excellent communication skills.
Able to support a 7-day a week operation.
Able to work in a variety of weather conditions.
Able to work around animals.
