Job Overview:

The Network Administrator provides end user support across the organization’s desktop, network, telephony and application(s) environment. The candidate will maintain, analyze, troubleshoot and repair/replace/upgrade systems, hardware, software and computer peripherals, as well as server as an escalation point to ensure tickets/incidents are resolved according to the department SLA’s. The position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Installing network and computer systems.
  • Maintaining, repairing and upgrading network and computer systems.
  • Diagnosing and fixing problems or potential problems with the network and its hardware, software systems.
  • Monitoring network and systems to improve performance
  • SQL Server 2012+ administration and familiarity with VMware Clusters and Veeam Backup and Replications
  • Knowledge of Windows servers 2012/2016/2019 and Linux (Ubuntu). DHCP, DNS and AD.
  • Above average knowledge of Cisco routing and good understanding of VLAN is required.
  • Good understanding of Firewall policies, routing and IPS. Preferably knowledge using Fortinet technologies.
  • Knowledge of Client Operating systems such as Windows 7/10 including Microsoft Office package and Office 365.
  • A good understanding of VoIP and telecommunication is preferred.
  • Implement and improve HR policies and practices, while complying with legal requirements.
  • Direct development and maintenance of human resource information systems such as vacation and personal days tracking.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism at all times under high pressure situations and required to participate to the On-Call rotation schedule.

Background / Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years IT working experience;
  • Valid Driver’s License;
  • Own vehicle as it will require travel between locations (Hamilton and Toronto).

Salary: $50,000.00 /year
