Reports To: Marketing Manager

Location: Richmond Hill (Head Office)


The Affiliate Marketing Specialist works with Publishers on the supply of traffic to the network and is the sole liaison between the affiliate network and online publishers. The Affiliate Specialist is responsible for seeking out new affiliates on a continual basis and cultivating these relationships. This individual will understand the nature of the business, how to increase sales, and how to grow the business. The Affiliate specialist will have overall marketing and budgetary responsibility for new customer acquisition, through search, affiliate, data feeds and email, and development of new features and functionalities that will attract new customers.


  • Develop, maintain, and cultivate affiliate marketing relationships
  • Identify key affiliate partners and media channels
  • Expand relationships by reviewing account activity and identifying opportunities for vendors to improve economics and value of the relationship
  • Work directly with smaller publishers, agencies and internal teams
  • Deal with the day-to-day operations
  • Make numerous outgoing calls each day to various leads, respond to emails, and prepare proposals


  • 4+ years of Affiliate Marketing or Business Development experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Media/Advertising/Technology/Online industry experience
  • Knowledgeable about the internet, the offline and online advertising market, online products, customers and market dynamics
  • Excellent verbal/written communication, presentation, customer service, and analytical skills
  • Experience with dynamic environments and new interactive trends
  • Problem solving skills and the ability to learn quickly
  • Ability to quickly recognize and focus on the most potentially profitable affiliates
  • Strong Project Management skills
  • Prior Sales related experience
  • Self-starter who can work independently as well as within a team environment
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products
  • Valid Ontario “G” License with clean driver’s abstract for a minimum of three years
