The Procurement Organization manages all aspects of sourcing & procurement within Bell and BCE. The Procurement Department’s mission is to create value through its role of providing best-in- class sourcing solutions while improving Bell’s EBITDA through cost reductions. This is achieved through:
The negotiation of agreements and other legal documents on behalf of Bell/BCE and its Supplier community, setting the terms and conditions for the provision of products and services to Bell/BCE, while optimizing Bell’s opportunities for improvements to EBITDA through reduced costs.
Overall management of key sourcing and outsourcing arrangements to maximize value aligning with the evolution of supply chain and EBITDA objectives.
We are seeking a candidate to join Bell Canada’s Procurement and Value Creation Organization as Category Manager, reporting to the Sr. Manager of Bell Media Consumer Products & Services.The Procurement and Value Creation team’s primary focus is to significantly reduce the cost of doing business for Bell Mediain alignment with corporate priorities. The portfolio includes the sourcing and commercial arrangements with all Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), OEM resellers where necessary, and related services for the Bell Media market. This portfolio is high profile and considered key in meeting the overall business objectives.
Manage a portfolio of commercial contracts and vendor relationships for Consumer Products and Services
Lead Business initiatives that maximize supplier relationships by obtaining the best value for Bell Media/Bell while minimizing risk
Conduct detailed assessments of clients’ needs, including re-examination of baseline assumptions or predetermined solutions with the intent to raise the level of awareness for Procurement within the company
Support and/or lead sourcing initiatives utilizing Bell systems in the distribution and management of RFI, RFQ and RFP documents
Drive total cost of ownership reduction through joint process improvements with suppliers and re-negotiate contracts directly
Manage, perform quality control, and generate reports on spend data and other key indicators as required
Recommend, develop, coordinate and implement best practice processes and procedures to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of the work performed by Procurement
University degree or College diploma and equivalent work experience
Superior communication, written and verbal with ability to interact with senior levels of the organization
A minimum of 2 years procurement experience
Excellent negotiation experience
Strong quantitative and analytical skills, statistics knowledge and experience required
Ability to collaborate and persuade others by working with various department sponsors, governance stakeholders, and other Procurement colleagues
Results orientation; resilience in face of complexity
Demonstrated and tenacious problem solving skills
PC proficient (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
University degree in business administration or supply chain management
Varied Telco experience and business knowledge
PMAC / SCMAO Accreditation or current enrolment in PMAC program is a strong asset
Understanding and experience in sourcing and analysis tools (ARIBA, Ivalua, SAP,etc.) or other similar systems
Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
