Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centred clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

Position Overview
Under the general direction of the Manager of Patient Care, the incumbent is responsible for participating as a member of the Community Dialysis Program Care Team, utilizing nursing process in the assessment, care and maintenance of the Hemodialysis patient at HSC, a community facility or at home.
Experience
Minimum of 3 years recent clinical experience in nephrology nursing, with demonstrated evidence of clinical expertise in hemo-dialysis, is required. Previous teaching experience would be an asset.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
Graduate of an approved School of Nursing required. Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing is preferred.
Successful completion of the Manitoba Nephrology Nursing course (M.N.N.C.), or a post-basic Nephrology program as recognized by the Centre, is required. Successful completion of the Canadian Nurses Association Nephrology certification is preferred.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
Must be registered or eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses Manitoba (CRNM).
Family and Friends CPR training is recommended.
Active participation in professional associations e.g. Association of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) preferred.
Incumbent must hold a valid Manitoba Drivers License, provide own transportation and be free to travel through Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario.
Qualifications and Skills
Must be able to work with minimal direct supervision.
Preference will be given to those applicants competent in an Indigenous language and/or knowledge in Indigenous customs, traditions and values.
Scope of practice as documented in the Registered Nurses Act.
Physical Requirements
Good physical and mental health.
Incumbent may be required to work the occasional evening or night shift in order to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the position.
