As the Receptionist in our Nanaimo branch, you are the face of Bartle & Gibson. You are welcoming and enthusiastic providing exceptional customer service to every customer you interact with from Monday to Saturday. You have a friendly, outgoing personality, greeting all our customer in a professional manner, connecting them to the appropriate Bartle & Gibson employee who will take care of their needs. This is a full-time position with a requirement to work Saturday mornings (9am – 1pm) on a rotational schedule.

Reporting directly to the Branch Manager, you will prove yourself to be an excellent representative for Bartle & Gibson by communicating clearly and professionally with individuals calling or visiting the branch while performing various basic clerical functions. Your main job duties are but not limited to:

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Greet visitors and answer basic customer inquiries in person or via telephone
Receive incoming calls and route them to the appropriate recipient using a multiline switchboard
Process customer payments at the receptionist desk
Perform recurring clerical duties such as filing, imaging and data input
Coordinate meetings and meeting rooms as needed
Coordinate travel arrangements and hotel bookings as needed
May help distribute mail
Order supplies as required
Other reception duties as required
Other duties assigned by Managers when needed
Professional grooming and presentation is expected of all employees representing Bartle & Gibson

Skills/Qualifications:
Outgoing and positive attitude
Extremely reliable
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Quick responsiveness in a professional manner
Very organized with high attention to detail
Strong initiative and self-motivated
Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment

Experience/Education:
Minimum Grade 12 education required
Previous Customer service experience required
Prior reception or switchboard experience an asset
Experience using Microsoft Office
Appropriate training will be provided for the right candidate
