Nedlaw Roofing is looking for project manager assistants to join our team.

Reporting to the General Manager and/or Project Manager the candidate will support the needs of the planning, organizing and coordinating construction projects to ensure they are completed on time and in budget.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Investigate and resolve discrepancies/issues

Provide weekly updates on construction progress to General Manager

Attend site meeting when needed

Supporting project manager from start to finish

Preparation of documents for submission to City/Region

Prepare work plans and make revisions when needs arise

Perform a key role in project planning and implementing process

Communicate effectively with the contractors responsible for completing various phasesof the project

Development of effective communications and mechanisms for resolving conflicts among the various participants.

Liaises with contractors to obtain estimations, pricing, product specifications, warranties and other correspondence

Updates trade lists

Tracks overall project schedule and assists in ensuring projects are completed on time

Ensure project documents are complete.

What we are looking for:

Reliable, organized and motivated

Ability to multi-task and prioritize

Comfortable dealing with vendors, clients, consultants and project managers

Recent experience within a coordinator/assistant role preferably in the construction industry

Understanding of the Ontario Building Code and Ministry of Labour requirements

Valid Driver's Licence and own vehicle

Good working knowledge of general software such as Excel, Word and Outlook

Experience with Jonas Construction Software would be an asset

Ability to work in a very fast-paced and demanding environment

Knowledge of construction industry

Confident and personable

Ability to provide simultaneous support for needs across multiple projects in various phases

Able to instigate action for sub-trades, vendors and suppliers

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Can confidently and accurately communicate the task at hand

Must be able to work extended hours, including weekends when required
