Cleaver-Brooks Canada Packaged Boiler Systems, a leading manufacturer of boilers and energy recovery systems, has an immediate opening for a Production Planner, at their facility located at 161 Lorne Avenue, West, in Stratford Ontario. This is a full time position scheduled for 40 hours per week.
Reporting to the Master Scheduler the Production Planner has a primary role in the success of the Plant. This position is responsible for the planning of the manufacturing of our products. The Production Planner reviews inventory, demand planning and customer orders in order to develop the production plan keeping in mind the plant capacity and master production plan, to ensure maximization of line availability and capability, taking into account maintenance, and labour requirements
Responsible for development and maintenance of detailed production and master schedule.
Must possess thorough and relevant manufacturing Plant knowledge in build to order environment.
Position requires regular exercise of decision making and problem solving skills
Ability to handle responsibilities with effective interpersonal skills and to effectively interface with others inside and outside the Company is required
Responsible for scheduling of assigned products.
Reviews and analyzes shop load planning
Releases production orders/picklists to manufacturing
Coordinates review of Materials Lists for completeness, material availability, and resolves all shortages with Buyers.
Position requires routine walking as part of normal job duties
Position requires ability to work in a normal office and production plant with welding, machining, and fabrication operations environment.

Working Conditions and Hazards
Normal plant, shop, field and/or office conditions. From time to time, some plant, shop, will occur and may offer slightly disagreeable features. Negligible/little or no exposure to hazardous conditions.
Experience: College/University program related to Business, Supply Chain Management and/or Logistics. Three to five years production planning or related field. MRP experience required. IFS experience preferred. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft office.
