Proteoform Scientific is seeking a full-time Business Development Manager to join our team. Based in our headquarters and laboratory facilities in Halifax, NS, this is a unique opportunity in the growing proteomics sector.

Reporting to the CEO, the Business Development Manager will work collaboratively with internal teams in a results-driven environment. We are seeking a mid to senior level candidate with hands-on experience that will lead top line revenue growth and profitability. The business development manager will drive product and solutions pre-sales and sales activities in the proteomics and precision healthcare markets globally, and work closely with our marketing team to support customers and business development initiatives.

Provide sales expertise and leadership in strategic planning, building and executing sales strategies and tactics for the Company
Lead and manage business development efforts and resources
Collaborate regularly with marketing, science, manufacturing, and logistics resources
Work with the management team to build and manage sales budgets, KPIs, and reporting
Establish, nurture, and grow relationships with distributors and key industry partners
Conduct proactive market intelligence gathering to build business development strategies
Participate in strategic planning related to new products and solutions
Understand proteomics workflow processes and science concepts to connect with customers on the utilization of our products in their specific environments
A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in business development within the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or life sciences industry with a focus on international markets
Ability to prioritize, organize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic emerging growth environment
A knowledge base or experience in the proteomics, genomics, precision healthcare or pharmaceutical markets would be an asset
Excellent analytical, communication, and writing skills
Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to work independently and as part of a team
Must have strong communication and negotiation skills
