In collaboration with the Associate Dean, Academic Programs and Graduate Studies, the Project Administrator will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of two educational initiatives. First initiative is to promote and valorise the teaching of math and sciences in the primary and secondary schools in Quebec with the aim to increase the student recruitment in the Master program (MATL) granting access to teach these subjects. The second initiative is to develop and implement a Graduate Certificate in Special Needs and Adaptation. In collaboration with the Associate Dean, Academic Programs and Graduate Studies, the Program Administrator will oversee the day-to-day management of those two projects, including assisting in the implementation of an outreach program, building an educational STEM network, assisting with the internal approval process, the implementation and the administration of the Graduate Certificate.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Work in consultation with the Associate Dean, Academic Programs and Graduate Studies to ensure the specific projects milestones are met.
Assist with the preparation of the initiatives plans of activities and courses curriculum.
Assist with the implementation of an outreach program with the aim to disseminate information and materials within the educational network.
In collaboration with the Academic Policy Committee (APC) representative, assist with the preparation of the course proposals and revisions for APC approval of Certificate at the University-level.
Organize team meetings and conference calls and ensure notes are taken. Oversee and follow-up on all projects-related meetings.
Act as a resource person for the two initiatives and assist Associate Dean, Academic Programs and Graduate Studies as needed.
Act as liaison with the Academic Policy Committee, Teaching and Learning Services and educational network.
Provide the Marketing& Communications Officer with the information needed to promote those two programs and assist with promotion.
Monitor programs/projects activities progress to ensure that activities are completed according to schedule, resolve problems, and address delays in consultation with the Associate Dean, Academic Programs and Graduate Studies.
Prepare correspondence and answer programs/projects-related queries.
Report on programs/projects activities, monitoring, and progress when requested by Associate Dean, Academic Programs and Graduate Programs.
Develop and maintain a system to monitor and track programs/projects activities, ensuring deadlines are met.
Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
DEC III

Three (3) years' related experience

Other Qualifying Skills and Abilities:
Undergraduate degree or graduate degree in education or instructional design is preferred. Proven project management experience, ideally within a tertiary education setting. Knowledge of Quebec educational system and instructional design. Strong interpersonal skills with the Demonstrated ability to work independently and as member of a team. Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to take minutes, write, summarize and edit print and electronic documents. Self-starter with strong problem-solving and organizational skills with proven ability to prioritize and multi-task. Ability to work in a PC environment using specialized databases, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, email, and the Internet. English and French, spoken and written.
