On behalf of our client, Bausch Health Companies Inc., we are currently recruiting for an Automation Engineer in Steinbach. Reporting to the Manager, Facilities & Utilities, the Automation Engineer will be responsible to maintain and administer engineering computerized systems including Honeywell Building Management System (BMS) and security system. The Automation Engineer will implement and maintain a Rockwell automation network to collect, analyze and display production data from production and packaging equipment.
As the Automation Engineer, you will:
Develop, implement and maintain an automation network to connect with all major production and packaging equipment PLCs, HMIs and Computerized systems. Collect and store production data using ALCOA principles in a suitable electronic format for storage, backup, analysis and display.
Maintain and administer engineering computerized systems including Honeywell Building Management System (BMS) and security system.
Work with site and corporate IT to ensure all production data and equipment is secure from external and internal threats.
Support the electrical and maintenance teams to troubleshoot, service and maintain automated industrial controls and equipment across the entire facility, including production and facility support equipment.
Support site security team through maintenance, administration and troubleshooting of the building security and video monitoring systems
Prepare engineering deliverables such as: requirements specifications, EDRs, PMs, calibrations, engineering studies and drawings, update maintenance-related standard operation procedure (SOPs) and standard test method (STMs), conduct review of proposed change controls, work orders, PMs and calibrations for optimum resource utilization.
You and Your Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a focus on electro-mechanical control systems.
Strong technical background required with 5 years’ experience with industrial automation networking and software administration.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, regulated industry or pharmaceutical industry preferred.
Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC, Honeywell or Rockwell automation systems preferred) and Microsoft Server experience.
Self-motivation and has the ability to work well independently and in a team.
Must be able to handle multiple concurrent projects and work in a fast-paced environment.
