Leadhand and Production Supervisor
This position is responsible for ensuring ingredients are accurately scaled and to assist with loading into mixer.
Ensuring food quality along with standard productivity.
Responsible for start up, picking up formulas, and reviewing mixing schedule
Arrive at work on time and with all tools to perform tasks
Scale ingredients accurately according to current and up-to-date formulas
Ensure all variances to formulas are noted
Ensure proper documentation, labeling and cleanliness of ingredient bins
Document lot numbers of all ingredients used
Ensure scaling and mixing area is neat and clean
Document all ingredients used throughout the shift
Ensure dough is finished by the assigned times
Keep work area clean and tidy throughout shift
Assist in other positions/departments when needed
Leave work area in good condition at the end of the shift
Ingredient bins must be emptied and cleaned thoroughly on a weekly basis
Work closely with mixer and Leadhand
Inform Leadhand of any quality issues immediately
At shift change, remove all cardboard and garbage to their designated areas and return all necessary skids of ingredients to staging area
Adhere to all applicable job procedures as outlined in SOP manual
Adhere to GMP’s and Health and safety rules as outlined in employee handbook
Keep work area clean and clear of hazards
Report any unsafe conditions, incidents or injuries to supervisor immediately
Use all prescribed personal protective equipment
Ensure GMP’s and safe food handling practices are being followed
All tools to be cleaned and maintained in good repair. Report any broken, damaged, or missing tools to your supervisor. Do not discard any damaged or broken tools.
Follow all GMPs including maintaining personal hygiene, handwashing/sanitizing hands, clean up spills (ie: ingredients, water, debris and wood)
Report any foreign material findings to your supervisor
As part of food security, report any unusual people or behaviours to your supervisor
Perform all other duties assigned
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Must be able to read and write English
Must work with speed and accuracy to keep up with the production process
Service oriented - high need to please
Level headed - does not overreact under stress
Must be dependable and punctual
Must be focused and have attention to detail
Be trained on operation of electric pump truck
GMP and Safety Awareness
Education, Technical Qualifications, Experience and Competencies Proficiency Level
High school diploma or quivalent

The majority of work in the bakery requires employees to stand on their feet for the entire 8-12 hour shift

ARYZTA is a 24 hour/ 7 day manufacturing operation
The temperature of the environment within the production area can range from 58 - 80 degrees farenheight depending on the department
The production areas are often loud, exceeding 85 decibels, due to the machinery that is running; earplugs are required to be worn while in the bakery at all times
Depending on postion, some employees may be exposed to dust; dust masks and respirators are available if required
