This position will be based out of our Fulfillment Centre at 1125 Vernon Dr., Vancouver BC V6A 3P5.
Perform manual and system tasks to support inbound and outbound furniture operations. Identifies and resolves issues in various functional areas; receiving, put away, staging, loading, and shipping. Supports and assembles “make ready” furniture to support efficient warehouse processing and maximize warehouse space usage. Prepares paperwork and schedules for the delivery of furniture on assigned routes with internal and external carriers while meeting internal schedule and quality standards. Provides customer service to customers by assisting with problem resolution as required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: in order of importance. Other duties may be assigned.
Assists in the preparations for delivery of furniture orders through warehouse procedures.
Pre-loading of product for delivery, utilizing the manifest and or schedule provided.
Assist in the assembly and set up of any furniture as required.
Inform supervisor of outstanding issues.
Maintain cleanliness of warehouse and report any maintenance problems to supervisor.
Supports inbound and outbound furniture operations.
Receives vendor purchase orders, regular lines, special orders, or customer returns.
Performs inventory counts and location lookups.
Follows processes to report common daily discrepancies or issues (i.e., shortages, damage) to supervisor or order management.
Monitors and ensures task completion within shift.
Pickers and stages outbound orders as necessary on day shift.
Performs a variety of lookups and research to support functional areas.
Performs the following non-system inbound and outbound tasks.
Separates and labels product received, stocks product into identified locations verifying SKU and quantity accuracy.
Assembles make-ready furniture and stages for delivery.
Coordinates with Furniture Sales Support to resolve items received that are not on purchase order.
Completes Receiving Discrepancy Tickets when vendor shipment is inaccurate.
Picks and stocks product to complete replenishment tasks.
Picks product for customer orders ensuring quantity and unit-of-measure (UOM) picked is equal to quantity and UOM ordered.
Checks SKU and quantities picked for customer orders to ensure accuracy, and re-packages or wraps orders as needed.
Sorts and loads customer orders by route and delivery order.
May schedule vendor shipments.
Participates in all scheduled physical inventories.
Performs basic housekeeping in assigned areas of warehouse.
Adheres to all safety procedures in the performance of job duties.
Maintain current certifications on all power equipment as prescribed by the supervisor.
Daily interaction with furniture warehouse co-workers and warehouse management, Application Support, Inventory Control, Furniture Sales Support, vendors/suppliers for scheduling deliveries and obtaining return authorizations for vendor returns.

Work requires physical effort and use of motor skills requiring manual dexterity. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, push/pull, or balance weight for extended periods of time. The employee must frequently lift, move, and/or carry between 70 to 100 pounds. With mechanical assistance, employee will occasionally move up to 300 pounds. Will regularly operate warehouse equipment that requires manual dexterity and use of lightweight tools requiring some coordinated movements. Activities include using a forklift or pallet jack to move furniture; and lightweight tools to assemble furniture.

Works in a warehouse environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly operates warehouse equipment and lightweight tools. Using proper safety procedures will eliminate any potential hazards. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Minimum three (3) months related experience in a warehouse environment required; or any equivalent combination of acceptable training, education, and experience.
Job requires the ability to become certified in the operation of warehouse equipment.
CFS knowledge desired
Furniture product knowledge desired
Prior experience operating warehouse equipment, such as forklift, pallet jack and cherry picker preferred
