Established entrepreneurial IT Services company located near Toronto, Ontario is looking for an Senior Executive Salesperson/Consultant. This individual will generate sales and new business, develop relationships with new clients, make sales visits and presentations, maintain advanced knowledge of company products and services, and establish and meets sales goals. Responsibilities will include developing the sales function and strategy, and be the key point of contact between the organization and its clients.

The ideal candidate will possess a background that ensures a clear understanding and experience in executing sales in the IT technology sector specific to services. You will need to be entrepreneurial minded, able to perform in a collaborative entrepreneurial environment and able to align goals and targets with the overall business model and directive. To be successful, this individual will need to be pro-active, able to provide leadership while having the ability to take direction, communicate succinctly and collaborate effectively.

Required Sales and Business Acumen

  • Technical aptitude and strong technical service sales skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • A meticulous and logical approach to work.
  • The ability to work under pressure and to help develop and maintain sales quotas.
  • Ability to partner with business leadership and other key stakeholders to define opportunities and identify and prioritize sales objectives based on predefined criteria.
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of solution roadmaps to ensure success.
  • Ability to focus on business technology, business strategy, client discovery and relationship management.
  • Possesses a motivated and high-energy approach.

Sales Objectives and Deliverables

  • Generate leads for prospective clients.
  • Attract new business through activities such as cold-calling, networking, meeting with potential clients and organizing sales visits.
  • Work with the pre-sales team to clarify customer requirements and recommend appropriate equipment and service packages.
  • Negotiate and take the lead in closing deals.
  • Prepare tenders and proposals.
  • Maintain CRM records.
  • Attend appropriate trade exhibitions, conferences and meetings.
  • Develop and expands a portfolio of corporate clients through networking and marketing activities.
  • Prepare presentations to pitch products, services, and combination packages to clients.
  • Establish sales goals along with company leadership and implement a plan to meet those goals.
  • Track progress towards goals and document sales performance.
  • Maintain current knowledge of the IT industry, staying updated on trends and innovative products.
