First Student Canada has an exciting opportunity for a Bilingual Manager of Strategic Development. This role is responsible for the development of new and existing proposal bids to grow the business in eastern Canada. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of consolidating and building RFP bids and have a strong background in Student/ passenger transportation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinates with the SVP and AGM in the development of new and existing proposals
Coordinates with Location Managers, Assistant Location Managers, Area General Managers and various department Managers to develop proposal content and draft
Ensures proposal compliance with requirements specified in the Request for Proposal (RFP)
Proofreads, edits and ensures accuracy of the final proposal document
Completes all required forms and obtains all necessary signatures for final proposal document
Process any requested documentation in a timely manner
Assembles all required materials for final production ensuring final review, rewrite and necessary editing has been completed and approved by SVP and AGM prior to assembly
Assists in the coordination of proposal delivery prior to the specified deadline
Acts as a support for SVP and AGM(s) including, but not limited to, developing documents and communicating, via email or phone, required documentation from various employees involved in a specific bid
Develops and maintains a Proposal Calendar to account for and track proposal development up to and including submission date for every publicly announced bid
Monitors websites for new RFPs
Distributed all RFPs and supporting documents to SVP, AGM(s), Location Managers and other department specific individuals involved in a specific proposal
Maintains and updates proposal corporate information, location profiles, resumes, bios and any other relevant information as needed
Administrative duties such as photocopying, document binding, ordering supplies and any other tasks necessary for bid compilation and submission
10% travel largely within the provinces of Ontario and Quebec
Maintenance of Public Vehicle Licensing

QUALIFICATIONS:
2+ years of progressive experience in strategic sales, transportation, and/or fleet operations management
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Relationship building, public speaking, and value-added selling skills are essential
Able to prepare complex pricing models
Possess good PC skills
Knowledge in student/passenger transportation or fleet management a plus
