Popular fast-food Middle Eastern restaurant and catering service is seeking a Manager with responsibility for both kitchen and counter staff and for catering operations.
AUTHORIZATION TO WORK IN CANADA IS PREREQUISITE.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: at least 5 years restaurant management experience - expertise in Lebanese cuisine (mastery of shawarma, falafel and pastry preparation) - written and spoken English necessary (Arabic desirable)
RESPONSIBILITIES: schedule and manage shift staffing (for 5 to 10 workers) - hire and train kitchen and counter staff - monitor performance - terminate for cause - maintain health and safety standards - assist staff with preparation of shawarma skewers - assist kitchen kitchen in filling catering orders - assist counter staff in periods of peak demand - maintain inventory to avoid both shortages and waste - maintain operational efficiency and safety of kitchen equipment - negotiate with suppliers - take catering orders - manage customer complaints
PERSONAL SUITABILITY: reliable - willing to work flexible hours, including overnight shifts - ability to lift loads of up to 70 lbs. - socially personable
WAGES: $24.50 per hour
