POSITION DESCRIPTION:
We are currently looking for a talented Nursing Assistant who is concerned about the residents' health. Located in Limoilou in Quebec, the Jardins Champfleury residence offers a warm and family atmosphere. It welcomes autonomous and semi-autonomous elderly people. The team of auxiliary nurses administers the medication and ensures that residents' files are updated in the computer tool. They respond to emergencies and work in close collaboration with the head of health services and the other departments (kitchen, dining room, maintenance, reception, etc.).

ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Health Care

Adhere to standards and regulations in accordance with private seniors' home certification and employer policies
Administer medication in accordance with safety principles and the codes of ethics
Contribute to the adjustment of a residents' action plan based on their observations
Ensure good communication as well as medical follow-ups with the vested parties
Help maintain the relationship of trust with residents' family and friends as well as with various stakeholders (CLSC, CSSS, etc.)
Respond to all emergency situations
Take part in the clinical assessments of residents and update treatment plans according to their specific needs
Upon request by the residents doctor or pharmacist, update the residents medical dossiers and prescriptions
While interacting with them, report any noticeable changes in a residents mental or physical health to the on-call nurse.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Ease in the use of computer tools
PDSB training
Up to date CPR / AED training certificates
Know Symo software (an advantage)
Member of the OIIAQ
