YQM is seeking a Manager, Engineering and Operations to provide project management for capital infrastructure programs, and leadership to the facilities team. The Manager, Engineering and Operations uses proven project management skills to coordinate people and processes to ensure our capital projects are delivered on time, and brings sound team leadership skills to managing the airport's building maintenance and electrical departments.
Using proven Project Management and technical skills, lead various airport facility or infrastructure maintenance and upgrade projects including multimillion-dollar projects
Accountability for the safe, reliable operation of terminal and other airport facilities
Leadership of the building maintenance and electrical teams
Ensure applicable operating and capital expenditures remains within budget
Responsible for complying with the policies of the corporation and Transport Canada with respect to rules, acts, regulations, by-laws, procedures and safe working practices
Technical designation such as P.Eng. or CET
5 years' experience in progressive roles in project management or facilities maintenance at the management level
Ability to obtain and maintain a Transport Canada Airport Security Clearance
Previous supervisory or management experience in a unionized environment would be a strong asset
Experience in working at an airport, and bilingualism (French/English) would also be assets.
Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada
Role is based in Dieppe; some domestic and international travel is required.
