We are seeking an experienced Senior Delay Analyst to join our team in Toronto.
Assist with dispute resolution and claims planning matters on multiple projects, including construction scheduling, delay and disruption analysis.
Work both independently, and as part of claims teams including lawyers, project personnel and external consultants, to understand and demonstrate the driving causes of delay on large, complex construction projects.
Manage multiple priorities and, when requested, independently develop and provide technical recommendations/solutions regarding scheduling issues and time impacts on complex problems
Review revised project schedules to inform forensic evaluation of Contractor’s delay claims and conclusions of legitimacy.
Assemble and review as-built data and develop a current as-built schedule.
Perform a schedule delay analysis and determine the amount of Contractor and/or excusable compensable and non-compensable delays and/or concurrent delays.
Provide ongoing schedule review and evaluation through project completion.
Prepare a written report of findings and recommendations.
Key candidate criteria:
Minimum of 8+ years post qualification experience with delay analysis and schedule analysis in the construction industry.
In-depth knowledge of project scheduling and how schedules operate.
Strong working knowledge of different methods of Critical Path Analysis such as As-Planned vs As-built and windows analysis.
Experienced user of Primavera P6 is essential.
Spreadsheet Analysis and knowledge of Excel functions such as V-lookup, Pivot tables.
Degree qualified in Engineering and/or Construction Management or related discipline.
Exposure to major projects and claims, ideally >$100m in value.
Analytical, investigative, problem-solving approach to work.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Valid Driver’s License and willingness to travel.
An existing knowledge of the Canadian market and a valid work permit or visa to work in Canada.
