Your Opportunity:
Path to Care is a provincial access management program that supports implementation of the AHS Wait Time Policy and is leading access transformation across scheduled health services to ensure patients receive the right care, at the right place, at the right time. The Alberta Referral Directory (ARD) is a Path to Care managed resource that centralizes referral information into a single online directory for referring sources across Alberta. The Alberta Referral Directory Quality Assurance Coordinator will implement the ARD’s Quality Assurance (QA) program with the goal of improving ARD content to ensure referring providers have the required information to send complete and appropriate referrals. The coordinator will support the Path to Care team, referring providers, consulting physicians and scheduled health services. This is a great opportunity for candidates with quality assurance experience, data entry experience, referral processing and appointment scheduling in a healthcare setting. All Non-Union Exempt positions are being reviewed for possible inclusion in the AUPE General Support Services bargaining unit. If this position is impacted, the incumbent will be notified accordingly.

The Alberta Referral Directory Quality Assurance Coordinator responsibilities would include: meeting/exceeding agreed upon monthly QA targets, identifying and solving quality issues, reviewing reports, tracking statuses, making recommendations for improvements, cold calling AHS services and consulting physicians to obtain missing profile information, data entry and profile editing. This role requires excellent communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, problem solving skills, ability to manage multiple priorities, familiarity with computer operating systems and database technology. The incumbent must have a strong understanding of the referral processes for AHS scheduled health services; a Referral Coordinator from a primary care setting would be ideal. As this is a new role, the incumbent will be flexible with changing priorities and being assigned other duties as required. To ensure your skills and qualifications are considered please attach a resume and cover letter with your application.
