About the Organization
The Zero Emissions Building Exchange (ZEBx) is an independent non-profit that strengthens the public, private and civic capacities for zero emission buildings in Vancouver and British Columbia.
As Canada’s first and only high-performance buildings centre of excellence, we foster a community of practice through targeted programming including dialogues, technical workshops, project tours and technology demonstrations. We also catalyze, convene and disseminate research, and develop resources for industry. Our work connects building stakeholders – designers, developers, builders, contractors, solutions and training providers, associations, academia, governments – across market segments from single family homes all the way up to high-rise residential and commercial buildings.
Centre Mission: To rapidly accelerate the knowledge, capacity and passion for zero emissions building in Vancouver and British Columbia.
By joining our team, you will be in the unique position to apply your knowledge of building science/engineering to support the development of thought-provoking content that will engage the various sectors of the building industry and foster a sense of excitement and ownership for the accelerated transition towards zero carbon buildings in BC.
Reporting to and under the mentorship of the Executive Director, the Program Manager assists in all aspects of ZEBx’s program planning, development, and delivery; helps to realize the organization's objectives; builds its audience and community; and plays an active role in the administration of ZEBx’s physical and virtual resource platform.
By keeping up with industry trends and developments, the Program Manager will leverage their technical background to inform ZEBx content, including event and research topics, and new partnership opportunities. Applying their expertise in building science, engineering or architecture, the successful candidate will attend meetings with key stakeholders, including industry leaders, utilities, and government to help identify and understand common knowledge gaps and bring that information back to the organization. The Program Manager will work closely with the Executive Director to determine a roadmap to address this information and effectively support industry in achieving higher building standards. The candidate will also work alongside the Communications and Partnerships Manager, and the Research Manager to help mobilize content, research and programming that will engage key target audiences.
ZEBx offers competitive salaries and a benefits package, salary commensurate with experience.
Application deadline is Friday, October 25 at 11:59pm PDT. Please submit a resume and cover letter.
