Robert Half Finance seeks an enterprising, strong Manager of Project Accounting for an immediate opening at a growing, dynamic company. As a Manager of Project Accounting, you will be responsible for leading daily operations such as preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable, and related duties. An integral part of this position is establishing and scaling company accounting and finance operations. Major responsibilities:
  • Work alongside FP&A and accounting management to deliver relevant and timely reporting of financial data analytics like the monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook
  • Periodically review and inspect the balance sheets and income statement accounts of Senior Accountants
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
  • Play a key role in system and process design, data migration, testing, training, and go-forward system administration
  • Prepare a variety of technical accounting analyses, policies, and procedures
  • Drive and manage the full accounting team performance of the close process to meet close deadlines
  • Assist in the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including document preparation, data analysis, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes
  • Capital Management experience desired
  • Strong familiarity with Monthly Financial Statements
  • Well-founded grasp of Microsoft Excel
  • Manufacturing Cost Accounting experience
  • Construction Industry Experience
  • Command of Software Implementations
  • Demonstrated technology and analytical abilities
  • 5+ years of recent relevant financial experience
  • Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer service mindset
  • Critical thinking, problem solving, ability to work independently
  • Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience
