The Procurement Intern is responsible for supporting the Procurement Team for various procurement initiatives and projects. This role will liaise with vendors, operational managers and staff to attain savings and objectives as directed by the Procurement Manager. This is a 6 month contract position.
Spend analysis and reporting
Business requirements gathering
Supply market surveys
Drafting and coordinating basic requests for quotations
Communicate and gather information from various operational site contacts
Review and process new vendor requests
Enrollment in post-secondary Supply Chain or Business program
Effective communication skills
Strong computer skills: Spreadsheets, Word Processing
Ability to work with cross-functional teams
Valid Driver’s License
Pre-employment medical including drug & alcohol testing and a criminal record check may be required.
