WE Charity is seeking a Manager, Annual Giving to join our Donor Engagement team. The ideal candidate will have fundraising experience, an understanding of the annual giving donor life cycle, best practices and a passion for engaging an important portfolio of donors. Responsible for the identification, cultivation and stewardship of this portfolio, the incumbent will be committed to providing exceptional customer service and 360 engagement which connects people to the mission and helps achieve the greatest possible impact through WE's programming at home and around the world.
Reporting to the Director, Annual Giving the successful candidate will be personable, extremely organized, detailed-oriented, donor-focused and have an affinity for engaging people with the mission of our organization with enthusiasm.

The Manager, Annual Giving will be responsible for supporting and growing a portfolio of annual donors who give at the $1,000-$25,000 range as well as developing pipeline opportunities to engage additional prospects at this level.
The position is based out of WE's office in Toronto (339 Queen Street E.)
Responsibilities and Duties
1. Donor Retention & Engagement
Respond to donor inquiries and interest in the organization, maintaining a high standard of donor satisfaction through prompt and effective problem-solving and customer-service
Retain existing donor relationships through ongoing reporting and engagement
Conduct prospect research and build understanding of donors within your portfolio as well as opportunities to cultivate and grow support
Act as a hub of information, coordination and support to the team's donor relationship managers
Engage donors in targeted opportunities and campaigns throughout the year
2. Honouring & Stewardship
Manage communications and reporting to your portfolio, ensuring donors are staying engaged with WE
Support donor engagement events to further engage donors and/or prospects
Coordinate donor thank you's and other honouring activities as needed
3. Pipeline Development:
Identify opportunities for lead generation and to increase overall pipelin
Manage incoming annual donor leads from internal and external source
Support in the identification and assignment of annual giving prospect
Ability to pitch opportunities to a donor, group or company
Support the Director and AD, Annual Giving in planning and implementation of donor-related campaigns and integrated campaigns such as holiday, WE Walk for Water and others.
Represent donor voice and opportunities via integrated campaigns – identifying opportunities to leverage activities across the organization.
Assist with campaign implementation and outreach
Qualifications and Skills
1-3 years professional work experience in a fundraising role, or related field
Excellent administrative, communication and inter-personal skills
Ability to connect with and engage donors and make asks
Proven ability to take initiative and remain solution driven
Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to take initiative, be solution focused and collaborate
Experience working with basic word processing and financial software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, SalesForce)
Willingness to travel and facilitate donor/family trip experiences
