ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
Based at the Detour Lake Mine site, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Industrial IT Analyst to join our Information Technology team reporting to the VP, IT.

The Industrial IT Analyst will be responsible for the support and long-term direction for the numerous Industrial IT applications deployed at the Detour Lake mine site.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Business analysis and requirements gathering focused on Industrial IT;

Providing functional support during an implementation and ongoing support after a launch;

Documenting the current Industrial IT architecture and dataflows;

Laising with various Mining Operations Business Units in the organization to facilitate implementation of new or improved Industrial IT technology;

Developing a technology roadmap for the Industrial IT ecosystem;

Facilitating collaborative discussions between end users, subject matter experts, IT resources or consultants;

Researching, reviewing, and analyzing the effectiveness and efficiency of existing Industrial IT technologies and dataflows and prototyping new workflows for the purpose of enhancing automation, operations, and information process flows;

Communicating technology and process changes, enhancements, and modifications – verbally or through written documentation – to management, peers, staff and other employees so that issues and solutions are understood;

Collaborating in the planning, design, development of new applications, and enhancements to existing applications;

Coordinating and performing in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new processes, and other pre/post-implementation support;

Providing support in integrating various Industrial IT applications;

Developing end user training materials and delivering training.

QUALIFICATIONS:
A College Diploma or University Degree in the field of technology, mining or information systems and/or 7 years' relevant work experience;

Experience in the configuration and operation of PI (OSISoft);

Experience in the configuration and operation of Wenco Fleet Management;

Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment;

Knowledge of other mining applications and technologies;

Experience with software development or project management would be an asset;

Experience with Wifi and other networking technologies would be an asset;

Experience in a cross cultural work environment is an asset.
