POSITION TITLE: SKILLED UPHOLSTERER
REPORTS TO: Assistant Production Manager
WORK SCHEDULE: Regular, Full-Time, Days

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Skilled Upholsterer is responsible for the following:
- Upholsterer fabric, vinyl, leather and mesh fabrics using hand and press upholstery techniques;
- Following work instructions;
- Inspecting fabric for quality;
- Ensuring fabric is correctly placed on frame; may require pulling and/or stretching of stiff fabrics;
- Attaching fabric to frame with pneumatic staple gun and/or upholstery press;
- Adhering to all company and government legislated policies and procedures; and
- Other duties as required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be capable of performing repetitive tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment;
- Must be comfortable and capable of using a pneumatic staple gun;
- Must be able to stand for extended periods;
- Must be physically fit with a proven ability to work well with hands; and
- Must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Five (5) years skilled hand-upholstery experience;
- Pattern making and sewing machine experience is an asset;
- High school diploma;
- English
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE) REQUIRED:
- Steel-toed shoes
- Safety glasses (will be provided)
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Manufacturing setting
- Day Shift (7:30am -4:00pm) with occasional evenings and weekend overtime
