We are looking for a driven and talented Chef to join our latest Beertown Public House location coming to Downtown Toronto in early 2020!

Our menus showcase the best in cuisine from fine dining to crafted pub fare. About the Role:

Major Responsibilities:

  • Builds, leads and motivates a brigade of culinary students/professionals/leaders.
  • Communicates the restaurant’s vision & Charcoal Group values to all team members – leading by example.
  • Demonstrates leadership in creating a culture that revolves around the experience and enjoyment of food & cooking.
  • Constantly strives to advance skills & careers of kitchen team through; proper selection, training initiatives, performance management & celebrations.
  • Maintains kitchen costs within budgets by following proper ordering & inventory procedures, as well as menu development.
  • Manages dynamic culinary atmosphere of in-restaurant dining, off-site event & corporate meal caterings.
  • Consistently monitors kitchen operations and cleanliness.
  • Demonstrates high personal integrity, business ethics and takes every opportunity to promote Charcoal Group.
  • Uses conflict/resolution and problem solving skills.

Qualifications:

  • You have 5+ years of previous kitchen management experience in a fast-paced environment
  • You have a solid understanding of operations
  • You posses a high level of integrity, discipline and culinary vision
  • You are passionate for food & culinary excellence
  • You build relationships through strong team leadership & interpersonal skills
  • You are driven, takes initiative & has keen eye for details
  • You have exceptional communication skills with all levels of the organization
  • You performs well in a performance based culture
  • You have superior organization and time management skills
  • You may have your Red Seal
  • You may be experienced managing off-site catered events
  • You may have experience with Optimum Control

Earnings:

  • $ 65,000 – 80,000 annually
  • Comprehensive benefits
