Oversee the conduct of Immunohistochemistry projects generated by the activities of Citoxlab North America (Citoxlab) in a Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) compliant environment.


  • Help maintain general scientific/regulatory standards in the Immunohistochemistry laboratory;
  • Perform study director/principal investigator duties in support of immunohistochemistry assays;
  • Plan, design and execute activities required for study-related method development, validation and sample analysis;
  • Coordinate Immunohistochemistry/histopathology laboratory staff in the execution of method development, validation and sample analysis;
  • Assist in training and coaching laboratory staff on ongoing work and techniques;
  • Prepare and/or review study-related documentation (e.g. worksheets and technical procedures);
  • Review collected data and ensure completion of necessary corrections;
  • Write technical plans, reports and procedures;
  • Monitor and advise on validity and outcome of test results;
  • Understand regulatory guidance/recommendations and ensure departmental guidelines are followed;
  • Ensure that work is performed in accordance with the protocol requirements and in full compliance with GLP, where these conditions apply;
  • Interact with pathologists, histopathology staff, sponsors, suppliers, quality assurance officers, BD, costing and study directors, as required;
  • Ensure all documentation associated with sample analysis, instrument maintenance, and training is up to date;
  • Ensure studies are performed in compliance with all departmental and company Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs);
  • Remain informed on technology and scientific developments by self-education and/or external trainings;
  • Maximize the utilization of all resources
  • Manage time efficiently;
  • Substitute and/or assist department colleagues;
  • Perform any other reasonable tasks that may be required in the course of his duties.

  • Work in a laboratory environment;
  • Considerable sensory attention is required on a regular basis;
  • Work schedule requires flexibility as per job requirements.

  • Master’s degree in biology, immunology or related field;
  • Minimum of three years of relevant experience in an Immunology laboratory; ideally GLP compliant;
  • B.Sc. with at least 5 years of experience working on immunohistochemistry projects, where applicable;
  • Working experience in molecular biology, flow cytometry, ELISA, RIA or cell-based assays;
  • Technical hands-on experience with automated and manual immunohistochemistry assays;
  • Experience with Ventana discovery XT or Discovery Ultra and RNAscope technology
  • Technical experience with histology tissue processing including microtome and cryosectioning;
  • Demonstrate knowledge, experience and organization skills to achieve project specific objectives;
  • Strong knowledge and application of GLP;
  • Ability to coach technical personnel;
  • Bilingualism, verbal and written, is required;
  • Good organizational, interpersonal, leadership and communication skills;
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills;
  • Detail oriented and meticulous;
  • Ability to work under time constraints and adapt to change;
  • Flexibility to work on changing work schedules;
  • Ability to lead work in a team environment;
  • Working knowledge of related computer applications.
