Our Infrastructure team in Ottawa is highly regarded for its innovative approach and broad expertise in all matters relating to project development – from inception to financing, real estate, construction, regulation and operation. We have worked on many of the leading infrastructure projects locally, nationally and globally. We are currently seeking to add to the existing strength of our team by bringing in a mid-level associate with corporate/commercial expertise in project development, procurement and P3s in the public infrastructure and energy sectors.

This presents an incredible opportunity to join a world-class group of professionals at an established Canadian law firm and international legal practice, while working in a collegial and collaborative team focused on your mentorship and development. As part of the Infrastructure and P3 practice, the successful candidate will have broad exposure to a full range of legal issues faced by our infrastructure clients, including acquisitions and divestitures, project development, public and private M&A, upstream, midstream and downstream transactional, operational and commercial matters and co-venture arrangements such as public-private partnerships and joint ventures.

The ideal candidate will possess an LL.B or JD degree and will also have:

  • 3 to 6 years of related legal experience in either a private practice or in-house setting;
  • exceptional client service, interpersonal and communication skills, strong organizational
abilities, and a willingness to take initiative;
  • demonstrated business acumen and a strong commercial understanding; and
  • strong personal and professional integrity and a hard-working and passionate approach.
While not required, bilingualism will be considered an asset.
