The incumbent will report directly to the president.

SALES MANAGER’S MAIN BUSINESS OBJECTIVES:

The Sales Manager will act as a subject matter expert on the business’ various solutions and will be responsible for facilitating on-site and off-site virtual sales demonstrations for new clients. The position will also require oversight and training of new sales representatives. The successful candidate will have software expertise from an end user perspective and will demonstrate the benefits of Birdseye System. The Sales Manager’s main objective is to duplicate her/his effort and build a team of sales representatives across North America where each representative will pervade their respective local markets. The successful candidate will be provided with warm leads and will also cold calling new prospects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage incoming warm leads and manage sales support staff
  • Conduct virtual sales demonstrations with prospective customers
  • Organize and attend trade shows across North America
  • Provide sales channel partners with training to increase the knowledge level of sales representatives
  • Demonstrate an ability to connect with customers on a technical & non-technical scale regarding their specific requirements
  • Present a strong comfort level in all customer-facing situations
  • Become the point of contact for new and existing clients, become a partner to their business and provide consultative selling and advice
  • Assist with client support, as well as customer issue resolution when necessary
  • Support sales staff on sales opportunities
  • Develop productive business relationships with key personnel
  • Communicate regularly, and hold meetings with internals teams, including Operations, Product Development and Sales and Marketing for seamless customer onboarding and support
  • Continue to increase your knowledge base and expertise in IOT and B2B sales experience

REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE:

  • An ability to effectively demonstrate Birdseye’s applications
  • Ability to demonstrate experience in understanding logistics and operations
  • Measured success and a proven track record in software and/or security sales
  • Proven ability to effectively identify and resolve issues
  • Strong ability to build, influence and motivate channel sales partners and sales staff
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of computer-based applications, IT operations and SaaS
  • Security, Telco and/or Telematics industry knowledge is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or related field is required
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Must have a strong work ethic and commitment
