The Public Affairs team provides internal and external communication services for Canadian Natural by providing communications strategy, advice and materials. The team also leads government relations efforts to address policy/regulatory opportunities and challenges. Our team's work supports our employees, stakeholder relations activities, and more broadly, Canadian Natural’s business goals, priorities, and corporate social responsibility strategies and performance. HOW WILL YOU MAKE YOUR MARK?
Work with a close-knit team of communication and public affairs professionals with a wide range of background and experience and directly apply your skills learned at school towards a diversity of challenging projects. While the majority of projects will be communications/public relations oriented, students will have the opportunity to observe crisis communications response and government relations activities - including strategy and key message development.
Join the Public Affairs team as a summer student and support a number of programs related to communication, stakeholder relations, and government relations activities. Responsibilities include:
Assist with creative input and coordination of special communication and government relations projects, internal and external to the company
Support communication initiatives related to the development, writing and publication of Canadian Natural stakeholder reports and newsletters
Coordinate details for various stakeholder relations community events
Execute meeting set up and participation includes coordinating meeting invitations along with organizing conference calls, room bookings and catering, as required
Update filing systems and consolidating materials as needed
Currently enrolled in your 3rd year of a Public Relations or Communications program
