We are seeking a Greenhouse Gas Junior Engineer to join our Western Canada Air, GHG and Noise Team, based in either our Edmonton, AB or Calgary, AB office.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Working with intermediate and senior staff in all aspects of project work including documentation review. Greenhouse gas emission calculations and reporting
Review, understand and interpret provincial and federal acts and regulations
Data compilation interpretation and evaluation against relevant regulations
Assist with GHD emission calculations
Preparation of portions of technical reports
Conduct site visits and field activities for projects within and outside of Alberta
Work with GHD’s Air & Noise Group, consisting of over 80 engineers and scientists across North America

Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Process Engineering or other relevant engineering
Understanding of chemical process, unit operations, heat and mass balance
Managing multiple tasks while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail in a consulting environment
Knowledge of Alberta and BC regulations pertaining to air and noise (i.e. Alberta Monitoring Directive, Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act, Specified Gas Emitters Regulations)
Must be flexible with project types and responsibilities
Excellent attention to detail along with strong organizational skills
Ability to complete work under tight deadlines when required
Written and verbal communication skills are essential to this position
Must hold a valid Alberta driver’s license
