The Technical Officer - Maintenance Planning, is responsible for implementing regular and preventive maintenance plans, leading projects, and providing technical expertise, guidance & support, in order to meet operating requirements and ensuring the reliability of the Seaway system.
Participate in the development of regular maintenance programs.
Prepare designs, specifications and drawings.
Conduct inspections, technical analyses, and feasibility studies.
Provide support on equipment and/or system breakdowns and malfunctions.
Collect and perform analysis on maintenance data and perform audits.
Provide support to operational safety programs and initiatives as required.

Ability to communicate efficiently both verbally and in writting in the language(s) of the position's location
Proficiency in applicable computer applications, tools and related office softwares (Microsoft Office, SAP, etc.)
Engineering Standards and Procedures
Experience and knowledge
Minimum of five (5) years related progressive technical experience.
Familiar with the Provincial Occupational Health & Safety Act, Regulations for Construction Projects, and the Federal Canada Labour Code (Part II).
Knowledge of project management processes and techniques, as well as budgeting and administrative processes.
Working knowledge of current inspection, maintenance, design and installation techniques and practices.
College Diploma en Electrical Engineering Technology
Eligible for certification with the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT) or l'Ordre des technologues professionnels du Québec.
Valid Class G (ON) or Class 5 (QC) driver's license and insurable driving record
Second Language Testing (when required by position)
Medical clearance - to meet the physical demands requirements of the position
Transport Canada Marine Security Clearance (if required by position)
Enhanced background check clearance - to meet the applicable requirements of Transport Canada Marine Security R2 Clearance (if required by the position)
Hours of work: 37.5 per week
Salary range: $ CAN41.78 /hour (min) to $ CAN46.44 /hour (max)
