The Medical Radiation Technologist II will be responsible for performing examinations in Interventional Radiology and Computed Tomography using a variety of equipment and procedures. Responsibilities include producing high quality diagnostic images of patients in assigned areas. Ensures a high level of patient care and safety; ensures effective radiation protection practices and precautionary measures to avoid excessive radiation of all patients, staff and visitors; participates in clinical training; ensure awareness of alterations and improvements to equipment as well as new procedures or procedural changes in examination procedures and policies. Assumes and active role in the Performance Excellence.
As a Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) II, you will perform specialized technical radiological imaging examinations on patients for the purpose of disease and pathology diagnosis. You may perform specialized diagnostic imaging procedures for Physician/Radiologist review, interpret physician requisitions and assist with the care and maintenance of imaging equipment.

Completion of diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Cross – sectional anatomy courses are required. Demonstrated excellent shills in interpersonal, written/oral communication; proven judgment and decision-making; demonstrated ability to work efficiently with attention to detail and accuracy; ability to work in stressful situations and a desire to further own knowledge and performance relating to the field. Must be able to work with various health disciplines and demonstrate respect and partnership.
Working experience in Computed Tomography and Interventional Radiology in a trauma center is preferred.
