Summary of Position
Our client, a large manufacturer of mechanical seals is currently looking for a Customer Service Representative to join their dynamic team in Stoney Creek. Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, the candidate will be responsible for;
Responds to inquiries regarding product selections, order placement, pricing, repairs, and complaints, returned materials, shortages, and adjustments.
Identifies and inspects returned materials using precision measuring instruments, corrects material codes and descriptions of items on the write-up repair jobs.
Analyzes individual problems and takes appropriate action to ensure that customers’ needs are met.
Diagnoses and determines causes of problems, makes corrections or adjustments and replaces units as needed.
Attends to customer service counter to accept orders, identify parts and make recommendations.
Maintains records of daily jobs in order to prepare returned goods reports and monthly activity reports.
Performs other duties as required.

Additional duties and responsibilities will vary based upon departmental needs.
Complete all work in a safe manner and follow all safety requirements consistent with supporting the Company’s goals.
Lifting guidelines in accordance with the Manual Lifting Guidelines noted in the Safety Handbook.
Follow all environmental requirements consistent with supporting the company’s environmental performance goals.
Complete, and actively participate in all other EHS training requirements.
High School Diploma.
Must have effective written and verbal and communication skills.
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office

Must be able to sit for extend periods of time; a minimum of 2 hours.
Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the office, shop, warehouse, or manufacturing plant.
Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds and carry up to 20 pounds.
Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items while working at assigned desk area.
Must have the manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment.
Must be able to simultaneously manage several objectives, changing priorities and reassign priorities to complete assignments.
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
