The Candidate:

You love to be creative! Whether in graphic and web design, writing, social channels you have that creative edge! There is lots of room for growth, to work with our management team in a fun, fast-paced start-up culture, (even though we are over 20 years old) and dynamic production environment. The candidate will be accountable to senior management members, report directly to our Vice President and be able to grow in an ever-changing work environment. To thrive in this role, you must understand fundamental principles of design and be attuned to the latest trends in web and graphic design. You know, for example, when to incorporate static and motion into your designs.


  • Produce high-level digital and print designs (Brochures, posters, email signatures, social media graphics, infographics)
  • Adapt existing graphic elements with newly created graphics to complete graphics/digital projects
  • Promote our brand on social media and blog posts through enticing content and storytelling
  • Manage and grow all social media channels and create monthly reports pertaining to user engagement and activity
  • Engineer and execute creative ideas that will grow our Freshslice Pizza Rewards App
  • Develop and execute high-level PPC campaigns to generate awareness and conversions
  • Make daily website edits and to be able to work with Wordpress templates and Plugins.
  • Working closely with the project manager to ensure that projects are completed on time, on a budget, and within scope.
  • Evaluate and improve our branding strategy with our marketing/executive team.
  • Know the latest marketing trends and strategies and must be able to apply them
  • Make daily website edits and to be able to work with Wordpress templates and Plugins.
  • Video editing and creative story telling. Must be able to use Adobe Premiere Elements.
  • Own and drive special projects, new platform integrations and initiatives with 3rd party vendors
  • Able to communicate ideas through clear, descriptive storyboards and pitch creative concepts/solutions to Management.

Essential Requirements:

  • Creative thinking skills and aptitude for new knowledge and best practices, including SEO.
  • Creative input and analytical output.
  • Practical application of user experience and interaction for websites and other digital assets.
  • Strong command of the English language both written and oral.
  • Working knowledge of WordPress front-end customization and content management.
  • Working knowledge of web site architecture best practices.
  • Good working knowledge with the use of the following applications:
  • Adobe Suites
  • Photoshop
  • Illustrator
  • InDesign
  • Facebook Advertising, Twitter, Instagram
  • Basic knowledge of the following applications:
  • Google Analytics, AdWords
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong people and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work quickly and within tight deadlines.
  • Ability to multitask while, at the same time, completing various tasks.
  • Product branding and design an asset.
  • Solid understanding of advertising and design principals for digital, print and social media.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • 2-3 years of design and/or interactive experience working in a consumer-facing design role.
  • Adaptive eye and skill to re-purpose existing visual for other collaterals and sizes.
  • Passionate and motivated to consistently deliver high-quality work.
  • Willing to learn, seek and accept constructive feedback.
  • Eager to share knowledge and learn from those around you.
  • A team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Preferred experience in translating ideas into engaging motion graphics with infographics, storyboard, video and animation.
  • Producing digital assets.
  • Experience with the following tools/skills is an asset but not required:
  • Adobe After Effects
  • Adobe Premiere
  • Photography
  • Jira
  • InVision
  • Skilled in concept development and has a strong understanding of design principles.
  • Great eye for detail in recognizing how elements interact with one another.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks while being detail oriented.
  • Advanced expertise in all suites of Microsoft Office
  • Advanced expertise in relevant marketing software and products including: Hootsuite, Google Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, MailChimp, and others.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals and teams in a wide variety of settings across the organization, applying interpersonal skills and taking a problem-solving approach.
  • Ability to analyze marketing data in order to facilitate effective decision making and problem solving.
  • Excellent visual arts and graphic design skills including photography and basic video production

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and/or Design and two to three years recent, related experience in Marketing and/or Design, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Experience and general competency in current digital marketing technologies and strategies.
  • Social media and Hootsuite experience and fluency.
  • Experience leading and managing large digital projects preferred.
  • Experience overseeing a multifaceted social media presence preferred.
