Food Service Solutions Inc. has an immediate opening for a Technical Service Coordinator position. We are looking for an individual who is team player, has a positive attitude, and is willing to go the extra mile for our internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to customers to resolve technical issues with commercial kitchen equipment such as: combi ovens, high speed ovens, microwave ovens, ranges, induction cooking equipment, toasters etc.
  • Liaising with service providers and technicians in the fields and assisting end users with the equipment issues
  • Co-ordinating and providing technical training to the service providers’ technicians
  • Assisting with any other service department function to ensure excellent customer service
  • Maintaining working knowledge of products, warranty claims and resources
  • Filing all warranty claims for each case
  • Audit and analyze warranty claim data to ensure that the warranty claims adhere to service policies and procedure requirements
  • With direction from the Manager, acting as a liaison for all warranty department functions with respect to warranty claim authorization and payment functions
  • Initiate & follow-up communication with all customers until the service tickets are resolved
  • In conjunction with the accounting departing reconciling all warranty receivables
  • Utilizing technical knowledge of equipment service to verify proper documentation of repairs for warranty and non-warranty service tickets
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Perform equipment inspections with the ability to lift 25/50 pounds on occasion
  • This position requires occasional travelling for manufacturers’ training purposes

Skills Required

  • Practical technical knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment and specifically combi ovens
  • Minimum of 3 years of technical service experience including combi ovens
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and have computer proficiency
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and able to multi-task
  • Team player who works productively with a wide range of personalities
  • Manages time effectively and adapts quickly to changing priorities
  • Able to work independently with some direction
  • Effective listening and good phone skills
  • Strong problem solving/analytical abilities
  • Strong commitment to quality customer service
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in a small team setting
  • Capable of effectively managing multiple issues and prioritizing them
  • Understand and apply service policy and procedures
  • Have repair/maintenance service industry experience
  • Food Service experience is advantageous
  • G3 gas license an asset
  • Knowledge of electricity and electrical components
