The Clinical Care Manager is one of the contacts for community mental health/addiction services in Central Zone - East. The position will manage and oversee the Camrose Hub. This position is responsible to the community and to Alberta Health Services to ensure effective care of people needing timely, compassionate and appropriate mental health services commensurate with the vision and mandate of AHS. This position works on the development and provision of mental health/addiction counselling and crisis intervention services, including access to services, caseload management, human resource and performance management; progressive discipline up to and including dismissal in consultation with the Program Manager and Human Resources. The Clinical Care Manager adapts organizational business and strategic plans and priorities to address operational and resource challenges that are brought forward by senior leadership and other community partners.
The Clinical Care Manager is the primary contact for Adult, Children and Adolescent Addiction and Mental Health professional staff and service in the Camrose Hub part of the central Zone. This position is the primary lead in program and service development ensuring it meets provincial standards, the provision of issues, human resource and performance management; including recruitment, performance management, progressive discipline up to and including dismissal in consultation with Program Manager and Human Resources. This position is responsible for organizational business and strategic plans and priorities to address operational and resource challenges and oversees Clinical Supervisors who also provide clinical supervision and support to the front line staff in the delivery of Addiction and Mental Health services, based on best and promising practices, AHS practice and policy, provincial protocols and related legislative and professional standards. This position is responsible to the community and to Alberta Health Services to ensure effective care of people needing timely, compassionate and appropriate mental health/addiction services and commensurate with the vision and mandate of AHS. You will require in-depth working knowledge and experience in addiction, mental health and concurrent disorders, prevention and health promotion, and operational management functions such as leading, planning, controlling and evaluating program service delivery. Extensive experience in managing and leading others in order to achieve key operating results is also a major responsibility of this role. Travel in the East covers from Camrose along highway 16 to Lloydminster, down through Provost circling back to Camrose.
