Position: Site Supervisor

Reports To: Project/Field Manager

Job Overview:

The Site Supervisor is responsible for the safety, timeline, quality of work, communication, and staff of a project. The Site Supervisor is responsible for client satisfaction and is expected to consistently provide excellent customer service as well as represent the organizations needs and goals. In addition, the Site Manager will build relationships with the field to encourage a team atmosphere as well as a build strong working relationships with PM/FM.

Key Responsibilities:

Site Management

  • Ensures that all safety protocols are being adhered to by the field staff. Hold pre-work safety meetings daily to communicate any new projected obstacles
  • Anticipates potential issues and/or opportunities within or related to the project in advance and uses a proactive approach to provide solution based suggestions
  • Lead any trades and/or subcontractors
  • Hands-on position and ability to perform infield work on a regular basis to provide leadership and training by example to the field
  • Ensures that all site work is performed in a the timeline provided and that quality standards are met
  • Communicates the projects goals and represents the TRT standards to the field team
  • Provides regular two-way communication between the field and the customer, to provide strong team representation and maintain proper project expectations during execution
  • Provides all tracking and reporting for assigned projects
  • Maintain budgets for labour hours and materials as provided by the PM

Customer Management

  • Reviews all major deliverables with PM to ensure quality standards and project profitability is being met
  • Follows up with the field to ensure that issues are dealt with in an efficient manner, informing the Project Manager and the customer of any problems that may arise
  • Acts as the key point of contact for the customer during the project and has thorough knowledge of assigned project, provides support whenever necessary to the field
  • Ongoing communication of project requirements and progress to internal shareholders and the customer


  • Weekly reporting of hours used and any unexpected expenses generated for the project on an ongoing basis

Reporting to the FM/PM any late or no shows immediately via email

  • Consistently exceed targets through existing or development of new onsite processes
  • Help to solve site problems that affect resource performance and program success, provide solutions and a pro-active approach to problem solving.
  • Recruitment and development of key employees while on site


  • Customer service oriented
  • Proven Site Management skills required in order to create, maintain and enhance customer relationships
  • Minimum 5 years of Site management
  • Exceptional Site management skills
  • Advanced computer skills: MS office, advanced MS Excel, MS Project is an asset (including project management software)
  • Extremely detail oriented
  • Motivated, goal oriented, persistent and a skilled relationship builder
  • High level of initiative and works well in leading/developing a team environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Handles stressful situations and deadline pressures well
  • Plans and carries out responsibilities with minimal direction
  • Technical competence (understands renovation, merchandising, planograms, and installation best practices)
  • Experience developing critical paths
  • Experience with problem solving and issue resolution
  • University degree
  • Must have a car
  • Must be able to travel out of province and for longer periods of time based on project needs
  • Bilingual an asset
